Women’s History Month
The name of our firm pays homage to the 19th Amendment which gave women a voice in the political process 100 year ago. It also references the year 2020 -- which was a year of pause, but also of change.
As a women-owned firm we feel strongly about empowering and lifting up all voices, but especially female voices, and making sure they have a seat at the table. We know that listening to a diversity of opinions and people with different lived experiences leads to better outcomes. We hold this belief as part of our core work on public engagement and community participation.
We also know it is important to cast a critical eye on the history that led to the 19th Amendment and recognize that not all women in the movement were treated equally. We must learn from the past as we move forward if we are going to continue to strive for equity for all women.
